Description
The Solano Transportation Authority (STA) is currently developing a Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plan (CMCP) for State Route 113 and State Route 12. This planning effort, which began in June 2026, evaluates current conditions and identifies strategies to make travel safer and more connected for everyone. While a definitive relocation has not been finalized, a potential realignment of Highway 113 would alter Dixon’s layout and push development farther east. Evaluating alternative routes such as Pedrick Road, Midway Road or Robben Road would help divert through-traffic away from downtown, potentially allowing the City to transition existing industrial zoning along 1st Street into vibrant commercial spaces. Because this realignment push is largely driven by external regional projects like California Forever and the Solano Shipyards, the City of Dixon is partnering with the STA, Caltrans and Solano County to ensure local priorities are addressed throughout this process.
